Alison + Brent met at Texas A&M University and the rest is history! Their photographer, Jennifer Weems Photography, shared their fun outdoor engagement session with us. Ashley + Christopher had their springtime engagement session in Montgomery, Texas and chose Photography by Niki, one of our featured vendors, as their photographer. This session captures all the beauty of spring - the outdoors, flowers in bloom and a natural setting. The couple will be married this December at The Woodlands United Methodist Church with a reception at Amber Springs. We can't wait to catch up with this couple then!

We love when photographers send us styled engagement shoots! Colton + Rachel were totally game when their photographer, Amie Reinholz, suggested a photo shoot loosely inspired by the movie The Notebook and that era. The session was shot in Montgomery at Forever Faithful Ministries horse ranch. Rachel's makeup + hair was styled by Anna DeLong at Salons at the Lake. The looks, the props, the location - it is all so perfect!

If you're obsessed with The Notebook like we are, you will remember the love story of Allie and Noah. Similar to how those two fell in love, Colton + Rachel's story is its own romantic comedy. The couple met through mutual friends and Colton was immediately smitten with Rachel. According to Rachel, he started "bothering" her all the time until finally he gave her a nickname she thought was cute and Rachel decided to give Colton a chance.  They have been together ever since and are "obsessed with each other". The couple are getting married this July at Ashelynn Manor. We will be sure to follow this love story!

Happy St. Patty's Day weekend! Before we share our green wedding ideas with you, which we call our "Lucky in Love" inspiration board, we just had to post this lovely outdoor engagement session with everyone. That beautiful sunshine. Those outfits. We love everything about this South Texas session by Jackie Ray Photography.

Our Lucky in Love inspiration board features our green wedding favorites, in honor of St. Patrick's Day. We just love green wedding flowers and with a green theme, there are so many floral choices. Those mismatched bridesmaid dresses are also one of our faves. A color combo we love? Green and gold. We would totally plan a St. Patty's Day inspired wedding!

Dana + Dave wanted their engagement session to include all the things they love most about the outdoors so they planned a camping-themed session and chose Heather Rice Photography to shoot their outdoor adventure. The couple brought along camping supplies and put together a make-shift tent, complete with lanterns, cowboy boots, flowers and of course, S'mores. How adorable and fun!

Although this DIY engagement shoot was taken in Florida, we know a place or two around The Woodlands that would make for the perfect backdrop for a similar rustic-style engagement shoot. And there's tons of inspiration in this photo session!

Happy Friday! Woodlands Bride has been very busy this week getting ready for the Dream Weddings Bridal Show on Sunday. But, we're never too busy to put together some Friday Favorites to jump start your wedding planning weekend.

I love everything about living in The Woodlands and one thing I never tire of seeing is the beautiful landscape. If I could do my wedding over again, which I dream about doing almost every day, I would most definitely take my engagement photos outside, in the middle of nature, maybe under a big tree or surrounded by natural elements. So naturally, I fell in love with the local engagement session of Chelsea + Kevin, taken by Katie Lamb Photography and captured in a mossy, wooded area just outside of Houston. And that gorgeous sunlight streaming through the trees... Wooded Bliss. Props to the photog for these beautiful pieces of art!

Since today is President's Day, we just had to post a little something patriotic. This 1940's inspired red, white + blue shoot by the lovely Kasey Lynn Photography adds the perfect old-time twist to Cayley + Kevin's engagement photos. We love that Kevin chose to wear his Navy uniform and Cayley's vintage hairdo by Kat's Meow Salon in Houston is so glam! This local couple chose Historic Downtown Galveston as their backdrop. A perfect fit for the look they were going for!
