Don't you just love getting to peek in on all of these local weddings? I do! Especially when I get to show you an album like this one. You can literally feel your heart-strings tugging when you see how much Laura and Troy are loved and their love for each other. Their wedding took place at the gorgeous Northwest Conference Center and was captured beautifully by Hoffland Studios.
Chrissy + Sean were married at Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery, Texas on their grandparents’ anniversary. The couple’s “country elegance” wedding was featured in the Fall issue of Woodlands Bride Magazine. Photography by Niki captured the big day which started out as a rainy and cold morning. We chatted with the bride about the details of her big day, her engagement and what she remembers most about the happiest day of her life!
“We met through mutual friends, on a blind date at a local hangout. We quickly realized that we had way more in common than just friends. On the second date, his dad was at a conference in The Woodlands at the same time and his parents actually showed up on our date. I loved how close his family was to him. He asked me to marry him one day at his house - the day of purchasing the ring… He just couldn’t hold it in any longer.”
The events that occurred before the wedding in the bridal suite were most memorable, says the bride. “I got to have some special moments with my bridal party. It became so real in my mother’s eyes – I could see her happiness for me. My maid of honor [cousin] and I got to laugh about when we were little and how we used to imagine our wedding. Each bridal party member had their own way of expressing happiness for me, and it prepared me to go down the aisle to see my husband!”
Most Important Detail
“The most important thing to me was the venue; it was perfect! We had spent two days searching for what we thought we were looking for and nothing was working out. Once we drove out to Olde Dobbin Station and looked around at all it had to offer, I teared up on my way out because I knew it felt so right there. It was everything we were looking for...unique, country, classy and historic in itself.”
The couple splurged on personalization for the wedding that added that “special touch” to their big day. Embroidered wine and beer mugs, koozies, photo frames and designed thank-you’s were set up throughout the reception. Guests also enjoyed the funny mad libs that were placed on the tables for them to fill out.

Maybe it's the mom in me, but I look at these beautiful cinematic wedding videos and wish they were around 10 years ago when I was getting married! What an amazing treasure and The Wedding Fanatics! never disappoint!
Holly and Matthew's wedding is definitely so. This couple's beautiful ceremony took place at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, and their reception was at (one of our favorites!) The Woodlands Resort in June.
We love the ruffle detail on Holly's dress and don't miss an adorable appearance by her little sis!

Christopher + Crystal had the ultimate DIY wedding. The couple found their wedding venue - an open outdoor area with lots of old Oak trees - and with hard work and time, turned it into the perfect ceremony + reception spot. We love how Christine Gosch captured their sweet, love-filled wedding day and the beauty that surrounded it.
We love to show off the work of our premier vendors! Memories by Maryanne photography provides brides with exquisite portraits unlike any other, with her 15+ years of photography experience in the Houston area. Alison + Moses' Hotel ZaZa wedding was one of simple elegance. The hotel offers a modern take on Old Hollywood which Memories by Maryanne captures so well. Her photos really do tell the story, in great detail, of each bride and groom she photographs.
Hello Woodland's Brides! We are chasing away the Monday blues with this beyond elegant wedding captured by Kimberly Chau at The Woodlands Country Club. Megan + Britt share a sweet proposal story as well! Britt, a former University of Texas football player and alumni, tied a ring on their dog, Bonnie's neck. He then brought in the little pup to wake Megan up. Bonnie delivered the gift while Britt popped the question. Here's to happily ever after Mr. + Mrs. Mitchell!

April + Chris chose a quiet ceremony at Heather's Glen in Conroe, Texas. Blank Slate Photography shared their work with us and described the couple's intimate wedding day:
The day of their wedding was a complete mess - the weather was stormy and flooded. The couple did not let that define their big day and they had a simple, traditional and family-friendly wedding.
Inspirational quotes were placed throughout the reception, like "All You Need is Love," and the couple provided an assortment of cookies and wine for guests to enjoy. The bridal bouquet was handmade by the bride and her sister and consisted of broaches and antique clip earrings given to her by her grandmother.
April + Chris were highly impressed with their venue selection and service.
"Heather's Glen was absolutely amazing and coordinated the entire event. From the cake, flowers, food and DJ, everything went straight through their personal vendors."
We have had the opportunity to share many gorgeous weddings from the talented team at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center, but this one is nothing short of swoonworthy. The classically elegant florals brimming with hydrangeas, the bright blue bridesmaids - and then to top it all off with dueling pianists? We love it! Best wishes Ashley + Birkir!
