We met on Match.com in November of 2011. Our first date was at the Starbucks on Market Street followed by a second date attending a yoga class at Lululemon. Bryan was heading out of the country on business shortly after our first couple of dates but we texted and talked almost every day.
Bryan proposed over Thanksgiving weekend 2013 at my grandparent's farm in East Texas. He knew how important family is to me and found the perfect location on their pier overlooking the lake where I spent many summers. While I knew it was coming in the near future, I was surprised the moment it happened. Bryan casually invited me to go for a walk with him that morning after breakfast and little did I know he was going to pop the question. After the proposal, my grandparents, parents, and several other family members (who were able to witness the entire thing through the windows) celebrated with us!
We are a little of both! We share the same love for a healthy lifestyle. He is a devoted triathlete currently training for Ironman Tx 2014 and we both swim with Magnolia Masters. We both love our dogs and treat them like our four-legged children....spoiled. His taste for music is a little more rock and roll and mine is country all the way. I introduced him to the rodeo as I am an avid volunteer for the past 10 years. If he isn't racing, he is volunteering at aide stations cheering on our friends! We both find faith in God to be our foundation for our future together.
I have enjoyed the details of planning the perfect day from using lace from my mother's dress as a headpiece, using his grandfathers slacks to make the ring bearer pillow, and old wooden boxes from my grandparents for card holders. Bryan's favorite part was the cake tastings!
We will marry on August 8, 2014 at Ashelynn Manor in Magnolia. Our wedding colors are crisp green, soft peach, and gold tones with table decorations of crystal, candles and tulips, my favorite flower. The theme consists of elegance and vintage including the use of the vintage chapel at Ashelynn Manor in addition to several older items from our family. The rest is top secret!
